Transforming Yorkshire’s January meeting, which was due to take place next week, has been postponed due to the uncertainty surrounding several existing and future projects. The next meeting will take place early in February at a time, date and location to be confirmed.
Current campaign topics include the recognition of Yorkshire as a political entity; devolution on the basis of subsidiarity, including the establishment of a Yorkshire Parliament; fair votes; a more participative representative democracy; and an end to the UK’s adversarial political system. We also have serious concerns about inequality and the failure to provide decent levels of public services within the region.
Westminster simply does not deliver for Yorkshire.
